A brown clay containing refractory grog of various sizes for structural strength. Toast is a versatile iron-bearing clay body that has been developed for hand-building. Suited to larger scale work. Fires pale terracotta and warm browns in oxidation through to cherry chocolate with textural orange flecks in reduction.
Firing range: 1000-1300c (Cone 06-10)
Shrink: 1200c - 11%, 1280c - 10.9%, 1300c reduction 11.1%
